The project focused on designing a show flat and lounge for a senior living community, providing the opportunity to explore both the physical and emotional aspects of senior living. The project allowed me to integrate research from my architectural thesis, deepening my understanding of user-centered design for elderly residents.

Our initial step was to study spatial layouts with a focus on barrier-free movement, ergonomics, heights, and forms, while carefully observing daily activities and how each space would be used. We prioritized physical safety, integrating elements such as alarms, recliner seating, wheelchair accessibility, and hobby corners to support the lifestyle of older individuals who spend much of their time at home.
